Dian Ferguson, MPA
Since May 2014, Dian has been the Executive Director at The Central. She has over three decades of experience in administrative public policy and human services. Dian is a highly analytical thinker and planning specialist with exceptional skills in budgeting, resource development, and human services management. Additionally, she is also a life member.

Administrative Director
Mdigo Kisimbo
Mdigo Kisimbo brings over 15 years of international experience in administration, operations, program management, community development and entrepreneurship. She has a background in development studies from Makerere and Mount Kenya Universities, and extensive experience with nonprofits in Sub-Saharan Africa and North America. Mdigo advocates for social empowerment and economic development in underserved communities and leads EmDiGo efforts, in promoting sustainable development. Her transformative projects and successes underscore her dedication to driving meaningful global change.

Social Worker
Anthony Cryer
Anthony Cryer, brings over 25 years of experience in the field of social work. His extensive expertise encompasses case management, senior housing, caregiver support, memory loss resources, mental health referrals and support, home care options, Medicare/Medicaid, legal referrals, and emergency assistance. Throughout his career, Anthony has demonstrated a deep commitment to helping individuals and families navigate complex social services and improve their quality of life. His dedication and comprehensive knowledge make him a trusted resource in the social work community.

Chef
Anthony Hertz
Anthony is a skilled chef who specializes in preparing healthy and flavorful daily meals. He supervises and participates in the preparation and service of food, ensuring proper quantity, quality, and handling. Anthony manages the budget to stay within the stipend by Community Dining and recruits and manages volunteers. He also assists with the implementation of nutrition education programs and surveys.

Volunteer Coordinator
Oveta Hunter
Oveta Hunter is the Volunteer Coordinator at the Central Area Senior Center in Seattle, WA. In addition to coordinating volunteers, she supports other areas of the center as needed. As a retired school teacher, Oveta brings a strong sense of organization and care to her work.
She enjoys being part of a team that enriches the lives of members through engaging programs and nutritious meals. Oveta is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the community.

Bookkeeper
Abdinasir Mohammed
Abdinasir Mohamed is an accomplished and driven individual with a strong background in Accounting & Finance Management. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University, along with an Associate of Business degree from Highline College, Abdinasir possesses a solid educational foundation. His career experience includes roles such as Training Manager and Station Safety Adviser, where he demonstrated leadership, training, and safety management skills. Abdinasir's expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and team building, coupled with his proficiency in tools like QuickBooks and SAP, showcases his ability to drive financial efficiencies and excel in a professional environment.

Zu Bin Yuan
I began working at CASC as a volunteeer and then was hired to support the "Let's Talk Food" program.I work in a variety of roles filling gaps where needed. With over a decade of nursing experience, particularly in emergency situations, and two decades of teamwork, I have developed a strong passion for problem-solving. I recently graduated with a BS in Behavioral Science. In my free time, I enjoy growing flowers and vegetables, sharing the produce with my neighbors. I also love cooking, listening to music, walking on the beach, and learning new things.

Cynthia Hobbs
Cynthia Hobbs has over 30 years of experience as an Executive Assistant. She has provided support to senior leadership in several key Seattle institutions, the Seattle Police Department, Seattle Public Utilities. and in the Superintendent’s Office at Seattle Public Schools, helping to manage day-to-day operations and communications. In addition to her administrative career, Cynthia has run a restaurant and catering business, where she gained experience in event and wedding planning. She has coordinated events for the University of Washington, the City of Seattle, and various private weddings and receptions. Notably, she managed event logistics for a gathering honoring Shirley Chisholm.

Building Attendant
Justin Battiste
Justin Battiste began his journey at CASC as a janitor before being hired as a Building Attendant. He has a background in social services, having worked at shelters to support the homeless and connect them with essential resources. In his current role at CASC, Justin manages event setups and breakdowns, replenishes supplies, and handles various building management tasks. He takes pride in contributing to the smooth operation of the center and is eager to continue growing and developing new skills to better support members and programs.
Outside of work, Justin is a Gospel rap artist who finds joy in glorifying the Lord through his music. His dedication to both his work and his faith reflects his commitment to uplifting the community.
